Some Personal Info About Me, Gina Rossi

I'm often asked about my background. Here are a few facts:

Where are you from?

I was raised in Johannesburg, Tokyo, and London, and arrived in Vancouver in my early teens.

Do you specialize in particular areas of Vancouver?

I work in all areas of Vancouver, but specialize in the Main Street/ Mount Pleasant corridor.

Mt. Pleasant has been my home, and I know the area very well. I've developed my real estate career in tandem with the growth of the neighbourhood. If you live in the area, you've likely seen me running around.

Which Brokerage do you work with?

I work with Sutton WestCoast Realty, a well established brokerage identified by its seasoned agents. Sutton WestCoast handles the lion's share of real estate transactions in Vancouver and has a lot of agents and offices.

How well do you do your job?

I work pretty hard to make sure everyone is well taken care of. This reflects in my sales record with the Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver.

  • I'm a recipient of the Medallion Club Award, which means my real estate sales record is pretty good. In 2010, I finished the year within the top 2% of the just under 10,000 member Realtors.
  • I've also received the 2010 Sutton Master's Award, which is our brokerage's highest ranking.

What is your approach?

Full-service. For Sellers this means I actively market their properties, and for Buyers this means I exhaust the possibilities to find the right buy. Expect a lot of open houses, online marketing efforts, print campaigns, tours…

I spend a lot of time with my clients to understand their needs and to facilitate the process. I have a full-time administration and marketing staff to handle all the incidentals, so I can focus on clients.

Education?

After finishing an undergraduate degree in Biology at UBC, I took on a PhD at the UBC Department of Medicine at Vancouver General Hospital. I successfully defended my thesis to earn my doctorate. My graduate studies focused on molecular biology and cancer research.

I'm good at stats and math. These are helpful skills to have in real estate. I can see a little deeper into the monthly Board statistics and often come up with better resolved, more useful information.

That's it?

That's my little personal snapshot. If you'd like to learn more about me, and how I can help you with your real estate needs, please don't hesitate to contact me.
